The Future is Now

Imagine being able to charge all electronic devices... Wirelessly. I had thought about doing this for four years. I always thought to myself, "If we can transmit data and signals wirelessly, why can't we transmit power?" Even though 3G data transfer has been around for years and 4G has just started as well, no technology popularized as fast as WI-FI. Even though this technological advancement has only been commercially available for the past few years we are already developing the next stage of wireless transmittance. The transmission of electricity... Well in a sense. It's not as if we are simply take the electrical current from a wall and moving to our iPhone or computer. It's all a simple concept with a difficult development. We can hope to see this technology within the decade... Or so I hope. We have nano technology to thank for this up and coming development. As many may know nano technology works at I microscopic level, developing full range technology at a millionth the normal scale. This work has led to the development of many wonderful devices that will take a problem and come up with a simple solution. To start I realized that my idea could very well become a reality after watching a particular TED talks video online. In it a scientist was discussing a new technology that could be used on basic home windows. I am no scientific genius by any means and therefor don't know specific names etc. however I will be able to explain most general functionalities of the devices. Back on track, this new nano development is a small quarter inch transparent sheet that has an interesting use of light. When transparent it will let all light and heat in just like any film on a window might do. However, when just two volts of electricity are applied to this sheet it's molecular property shifts. This change will still allow light in but will reflect 100% of outside heat away from the window. This means that in the summer simply flip the switch to the film and you immediately save on AC. In the winter change the properties back with 2 volts and let light AND heat in. Simple as that. From this the scientist then moved on to another development that was built off of this first idea. It would be used by households and the military. It is yet another transparent nano sheet that arranges light particles in order to see at night. For standard home use, this would eliminate the need for constant artificial light. One would literally be able to see out of there window as if it were day. This technology obviously would be used as re newest in night vision technology for the military as well. There is now one third and final technological device that was shown. Throughout the ages it has been proven that the most efficient and cost effective way to store energy is the battery. To this day it is one of the most used technological items. Imagine however if a home generator could store three times the amount of energy in just a few small panels on a wall. Oh and did I mention it uses light as energy? It is also able to send any power not used to another person. Perhaps your neighbor needs the power and you have it. You would literally be able to beam your stored energy to your neighbor via light. This got me thinking. If we combined all of these technologies together we could in fact create wireless charging. Think about it. A power source in a house could beam it's power to a device with a receiver created from this new nano technology. While it has not been developed, the concept finally seems plausible. Although this might never be developed, it's still amazing how far we have come. Technology is amazing and scary at the same time. Sometimes I wonder if we were never meant to discover any of it at all. Perhaps earth had already been developed farther than it already is but technology destroyed everything. The only thing that helps me sleep at night is the knowledge that I won't let technology rule my life and I won't let it consume me. Maybe with a good balance we can develop our race with the right amount of human development and technological advancements.

YouTube partnership

Hey everyone or no one. Depends who reads or doesn't read this. I have just recently been accepted as a partner with YouTube! There are some new cool features which I get to take parr of so make sure you come over and check it out! Now that this has happened I hope to put a lot more videos up. Especially tutorial videos. And you might even be treated to a special guest. So stay around and visit my channel Soon!

Interesting Insight

Have you ever wondered how valuable you are to the world? I have wondered this same question many times in my life. Sometimes you just want to know is someone out there wondering anything about me? Do they care? For the longest time I really never had an answer. I was so unsure that I couldn't even say no. After sometime however I realized that someone must care. I'm not popular and I'm not famous. I don't think a lot of people know me. Maybe they do. I honestly wouldn't mind, but you sure won't ever here me say that I'm so popular and everyone should love me. Anyway as I was saying, one day I came up with an answer to my question. I realized that the true answer was a yes. It came in subtle forms over a long period of time. I'm not super popular by any means on my YouTube channel, however I eventually gained enough views to make me feel like I was something special to someone else. I'm sure no one will read or comment on this blog entry any time soon. Blogs are dead apparently. And I'm not popular. What a bad combination. I don't post often because I feel no one cares to hear what I have to say. But I came to my blog today. There were no comments or any messages. It was what I expected. What I did see however was that my blogs all together had been viewed over 150 times. Over the course of more than a year that is not large at all However to me it meant something. I'm sure that more than half the views that I got were done by accident
and the person didn't even read a thing. However the likelyhood of someone reading it once and liking it became very high. It gave me an ounce of hope that someone read it... And actually cared. That is why I'm writing this today. Because I have a feeling that there is at least one person who cares. And that my friends. Or friend. Is good enough for me.

Summer 2010

Well today begins my first official day of summer break. We finished with all our finals and its time to relax for a bit! I think it is well deserved and has been needed for a long time now! That first off, is why im updating this blog. Second off, it is because im extremely bored and nobody reads my blog anyway. Its not like im popular or have a calling for anything in particular. Some people know my band or my videos from YouTube, but most people would not know about this. Anyway, now that i have time i figured why not just right another little post. On a good note, my adtop123 channel has been offered a partnership with YouTube. That is pretty awesome I think. Already getting pretty far compared to some people. There are still many more miles to go, but hey... it sure is one heck of a start! Well I hope everyone is enjoying their summer break... or will enjoy it once it starts! Have fun!

ACT

Well today was a great Saturday. I had to get up at 6:00 a.m. to get ready and go take the ACT. Like the SAT, the ACT is an aptitude test which took me five hours to take. The test started at eight and ended at one! These tests are clearly made to drain the taker of all physical and mental ability. It sure was tiring but im glad its over. I do think i did well on it though, so thats always a good thing! Well I still have plenty of work to do so thats just a quick update just for now! Talk to you all later!

Well, soon enough you will. I have come along way since i first started my voyage into the world of the internet, and i am ready to take the next step. So I welcome everyone who has found me or knows me, and I ask you to enjoy the journey with me. There are many plans in my mind for what my next step is, however I do not know which move is the right one. Soon enough I should find out. I just need to start getting myself out there i suppose. So whether you are interested in this or not, come back and don't give up on me. You will enjoy the amazing life that I have to share with you!
